IT Systems Engineer - Pretoria

In line with their growth and commitment to excellence, they are seeking a dedicated and experienced IT Systems Engineer to join their team.
Functions:
• Install, configure, and maintain servers and associated hardware and software.
• Design and implement server solutions to meet business requirements.
• Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Optimize server performance through tuning and capacity planning.
• Provide advanced support for server-related issues, including troubleshooting and resolution.
• Collaborate with team members and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operation of server infrastructure.
• Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in server administration.
Skills:
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Office, Outlook, and Internet.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans with strong interpersonal communication.
• Team player with a caring attitude.
• Flexible in adapting to changes and management decisions.
• Proficient in problem-solving techniques and record keeping.
• Leadership skills and ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships.
Requirements:
• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Diploma/Degree in IT, System Engineering, or related field.
• A+ and N+ certifications or similar qualifications.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in server, workstation, associated operating systems, and advanced application support.
• Strong ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Active listening skills to understand and address user needs effectively.
