The big picture We are looking for an ambitious Junior Accountant to join our accounting and Financial Transformation team. Reporting to our Senior Financial Transformation Manager, this role supports the realization of CKH’s performance strategy by providing program support during a multi-year journey to optimize CKH’s Finance function. The end goal is the implementation of an operating model that drives optimization of the Finance function across the enterprise. The business results of a new operating model enhances enterprise value, positions CKH for effective and efficient growth, and delivers bottom line year-over-year cost savings. This is an opportunity to impact the governance, direction and agenda of Project Maximization’s steering committee and stakeholders to effectively address strategic choices, conflicts and priorities. We will trust you to: Keep records of financial transactions Balance the books Reconcile bank accounts Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Pass general ledger entries required to report an accurate set of financial statements Supporting the Transformation manager with alignment and active sponsorship with key CKH stakeholders. Support with the implementation of project scope, budget, schedule and quality by facing and addressing change resistance with personal and leadership resilience. Support for detailed, well formulated transformative project work. Ad-hoc projects within the business Requirements Fluency in English (Written and Verbal Skills) Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures Familiarity with accounting software packages (Quickbooks and Accounting CS an advantage) Good communication skills with proactive, supportive, and positive approach Financial accounting background 1-2 years experience Ability to work well independently & in a team Business Administration/Accounting Degree Strong Interpersonal Skills (client-facing role) Intermediate-Advanced Excel skills SAP background essential Strong technical background Ability to prepare Financial Statements and work with Auditors Completed SAICA articles or SAIPA certified Benefits Gross remuneration structure 15 days PTO 10 paid study leave days Annual CA(SA) fee covered (if applicable) Internet Allowance Membership to Sanlam Reality Plus Hybrid working model Discretionary bonuses International business exposure (offices across seven countries) Stimulating, fast-paced work environment with structured opportunities for professional growth/development Mentoring by Senior Leadership Why CKH is the best choice?
