How you'll role As the Junior Accountant / Finance & Ops Assistant at this award-winning agency, you'll handle financial tasks like invoicing and reconciliation, manage accounts, and ensure compliance. You'll also oversee office facilities, coordinate travel, and assist with internal event organisation, aiming to optimise operational efficiency and support team collaboration. What you'll do Accounting duties include (70-80%): Prepare and post receipts, deposits, purchase orders, invoices, refunds, and other standard bookkeeping tasks Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable Debtors and creditors recons Contact delinquent accounts Prepare, track, and reconcile ledgers and budgets Post journals Maintenance of fixed asset register including depreciation calculations Facilitate the audit process Identify and correct miscalculations and financial discrepancies Stay current with all regulations, requirements, and laws Develop and streamline operational efficiencies Operational duties include (20-30%): Manage office facilities & resources Ensure that office groceries, supplies & stationery are stocked up Organise gifting for clients & stakeholders Place orders (per request) for the team Keep track of & safe keep the office card, office phone & video equipment Travel & Itinerary planning Oversee all aspects of group travel - Book flights & accommodation for the team Manage the CCOs travel arrangements per request Serve as the primary point of contact for the team regarding travel amendments, cancellations, delays, etc Internal event coordination Assist the Traffic & Operations Manager in organising team birthday celebrations & team events i.e. Lunches, team building activities & other internal events Assist in consolidating the yearly calendar Send reminders to the team on upcoming events What you'll need Proficiency in bookkeeping tasks including posting receipts, invoices, and purchase orders Ability to manage accounts receivable and accounts payable efficiently Experience in reconciling ledgers and budgets, with attention to detail Familiarity with maintaining fixed asset registers and conducting depreciation calculations Capability to facilitate the audit process and address financial discrepancies Knowledge of relevant regulations, requirements, and laws pertaining to finance Strong organisational skills to manage office facilities, resources, and supplies Proficiency in coordinating travel arrangements and itinerary planning for the team Ability to assist in coordinating internal events and celebrations, ensuring smooth execution Excellent communication skills to liaise with team members, clients, and stakeholders effectively Salary R21,000 - R28,000 per month (negotiable based on experience) Apply HERE Apply Now
