Novatec SA, based in Centurion, is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Junior Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Junior Automation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems and automation solutions for our clients. Minimum requirements:

BSc/BEng/BTech (Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic Engineering)
2-3 Years Experience
Valid Drivers Licence and own transport
Valid Passport
Willingness to travel both National and International
Able to read P&ID diagrams and electrical schematics
Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), HMI/SCADA development, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profibus, Modbus)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Previous internship experience in electrical engineering or automation would be an advantage

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with senior engineers to design and implement electrical systems and automation solutions tailored to client specifications.
Assist in the development of control systems, including PLC programming, HMI design, and SCADA systems integration.
Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and automation equipment at client sites.
Troubleshoot electrical and automation issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
Participate in project planning and estimation activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in electrical engineering and automation.
Adhere to safety protocols and standards in all aspects of work, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Document engineering designs, procedures, and technical specifications as per company standards.
