Junior Network Engineer (JB4297) Remote (Suitable for candidate in Gauteng only) R180 000 to R240 000 Annually CTC Permanent A Travel Retail Software company is looking for a dedicated Junior System Engineer. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining IT production and integration systems within the organisation, providing support and documentation to the user base and co-ordinating with other IT divisions to improve the delivery of services to our business and clients. As a global company, they provide exposure to diverse cultures, technologies, and project techniques, actively supporting employee career development Minimum Requirements: Matric Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field University degree or graduate qualification in a related discipline such as IT, science, engineering or mathematics (Added Advantage) Relevant industry certifications (Added Advantage) Relevant certifications, such as ITIL Foundation, Experience in the systems operations environment - Advantageous SQL knowledge - Advantageous Experience in Windows Server Environments Data Warehousing experience advantageous Communication skills Accountability Results driven Team success Adaptability Reasoning: Quick evaluator of facts vs ideas or theory Analytical, methodical and logical thinker Appreciation: recognising value Intuitive and innovative problem solver Application: using ideas or knowledge in new areas Strong listening, comprehension and formulating skills Acute attention to detail Goal setting and planning People and process driven Effective communicator Well-developed resource management skills Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines Ability to cope with and handle variable workload - can be heavy at times Ability to work without close supervision Well-developed inter-personal skills Able to self-correct and be flexible / adapt to change Ethical and honest Duties and Responsibilities: Provide 1st and 2nd Line Support for business systems Maintain tickets within the incident lifecycle (timeously, effectively and efficiently)Investigates data/system inconsistencies reported by users. System support and maintenance: Build and maintain system documentation Architecture overviews and diagrams Security policies and procedures System policies and procedures Data Protection and Retention, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan End user documentation End user training Support team documentation System monitoring and reporting Manage and drive system incident, problem and change requests to resolution Provide technical support for desktop system, including hardware, software, and peripherals.
