VACANCY: JUNIOR OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH CARE NURSE - EPPING Job description The Group has a position available for an experienced, professional, and dedicated individual within the Cape Town, Epping Clinic as an Occupational Health Care Nurse . The successful candidate will report to the Head of Human Capital. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 80% Occupational healthcare and 20% Primary healthcare Manage the administrative and operational activities of the primary health care and occupational health care clinic to ensure a quality, legally compliant, efficient, and effective service delivery Conduct and review health risk assessments annually or as required Perform and monitor medical and biological surveillance within the prescribed Company protocol Maintaining and assisting with the management of the Company chronic disease program Maintain statutory and internal company Covid-19 procedures and program Keep record of all activities conducted File and maintain legally required documents (soft and hard copies) Oversee and assist with maintenance of the clinic equipment Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Compile necessary clinic management reports Planning and administration of the Occupational Health Service Qualifying Criteria: Nursing Diploma/Degree Occupational Health Nurse qualification recognized by South African Nurse Council PHC qualification/experience Spirometry, Audiometry and Visual screening HIV/AIDS certificate and/or experience Family Planning Certificate Registration with SANC/SASOHN 1-2 years relevant work experience Knowledge of driver’s medical Experience in the treatment of Injuries on Duty Dispensing license Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook Valid Driver’s license and own reliable transport Qualifying Attributes Excellent verbal and written communication skills Organization and planning skills Ability to work under pressure Customer service orientation Ability to work independently as well as in a team Attention to detail and accuracy Hard-working and self-motivated Time management and organizational skills Highly motivated and committed Excellent standards in execution Other Information: Job title: Junior Occupational Health Care Nurse Reporting to: Clinic Coordinator and Divisional Director – HR Job type: Permanent position Benefits include · Provident fund · Life cover at 4x annual salary · Funeral cover · Medical aid – Hospital Plan with Discovery Health · 15 x paid leave days per annum · Long service leave after five years of employment Standard hours: 08h00–17h00: Monday – Thursday 08h00–16h00: Friday May be required to work overtime as per operational requirements Salary: We offer a highly competitive package depending on the extent of the applicant’s qualifications and experience.
