Exciting Job Opportunity: Technical Buyer for Dynamic Export Company Our client, a leading exporter operating across Africa, is seeking a driven Technical Buyer to procure commodities and services aligning with company policies and performance objectives Negotiate prices with suppliers, improving purchasing methods to minimize costs Identify and engage new clients and suppliers locally and internationally Ensure timely procurement of required equipment and materials as per production schedule Coordinate material movement throughout production cycle and expedite orders when necessary Maintain relationships with clients and suppliers, keeping detailed records of communication Oversee import/export processes, managing shipments, and ensuring accurate documentation Bid on tenders and handle ad hoc tasks as required Travel may be necessary, both domestically and internationally Experience in sourcing commodities for mining and/or oil/gas sectors, preferably as a buyer within mining Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to thrive under pressure. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent, or a minimum 3-year diploma Minimum 1 year of purchasing experience Technical expertise, analytical ability, and high level of accuracy Strong interpersonal and communication skills Numeracy and proficiency in MS Office; Citrix system knowledge advantageous Integrity, professionalism, and commitment to excellence
