Our client is searching for a Logistics Manager who will oversee the entire supply chain management to maximize efficiency and productivity. They will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring logistics operations such as warehousing, inventory, transportation, and supply chain processes. Responsibilities: Daily oversight and coordination of inventory alongside our warehouse team. Predicting product needs for upcoming periods to ensure adequate supply. Ordering products, verifying that pricing is correct and quantities ordered match those received. Calculating costs for potential new products or product lines. Collaborating with suppliers and shipping agents to ensure timely delivery of orders. Processing received orders and updating inventory records. Conducting quarterly stock counts to maintain accurate inventory levels. Collaborating with the sales team to develop and promote monthly specials. Liaising with sales and online retail partners to optimize client relationships. Overseeing the management of product listings on various online retail platforms. Handling and updating order forms. Addressing any inventory-related issues or inquiries. Administering the online ordering system, including updating product listings, visibility, pricing, imagery, and implementing discounts and promotions. Identifying and engaging local suppliers as needed. Generating and overseeing purchase orders, as well as the receipt of stock and related invoices. Managing the reporting and replacement of defective products on a quarterly basis. Supporting the Operations and General Manager, as well as the administration and sales teams, as needed. Education: Matric/Grade 12 Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Soft Skills: Effective Communication: Demonstrated ability to communicate with directors clearly, team members, and suppliers, ensuring clarity in conveying information and instructions. Problem-Solving Skills: Proficient in analyzing complex situations and formulating practical solutions to address logistical problems. Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration to meet common objectives and solve issues. Adaptability: Readiness to modify strategies and procedures as needed to adapt to changes in market conditions, regulations, or organizational requirements. Time Management: Skilled in managing priorities, efficiently allocating resources, and adhering to deadlines in a dynamic work environment. Hard Skills: Supply Chain Management: Advanced knowledge in managing the supply chain process, focusing on optimizing the journey of goods and services from suppliers to customers, while reducing costs and enhancing efficiency. Inventory Management: Capable of maintaining control over inventory levels, predicting demand, and devising strategies to minimize shortages and surplus. Transportation Management: In-depth understanding of various transportation methods, effective routing, and compliance with regulations to ensure prompt and cost-efficient delivery of goods. Warehouse Operations: Knowledgeable about warehouse design, storage solutions, and inventory management techniques to optimize productivity and streamline operations. Data Analysis: Experienced in leveraging data analytics tools to process logistical data, spot trends, and make informed decisions to improve business operations. Gross salary.
