Our client is looking for a qualified Fitter with staff management experience for a 6 month contract Ensure that all maintenance and fabrication work is performed according to required quality standards Ensure the safe and efficient performance of electrical maintenance and fabrication duties Manage, control, and supervise subordinates Occupational Health and Safety Act – re maintenance and repairs Maintain safe working procedures Document maintenance work Ensure all procured goods adhere to the Procurement policy Manage the computerised maintenance management system Ensure best practices with maintenance work adhering to OEM requirements and ISO standards Implement planned maintenance according to maintenance schedules and procedures Manage preventative and planned maintenance tasks Manage corrective maintenance tasks Manage replacement installation tasks Manage refurbishment tasks Manage repairs Manage maintenance budgets Ensure the correct use of electrical equipment Direct routine and special maintenance interventions on plant, machinery, and ancillary equipment Manage the commissioning of new / modified equipment / plants Assist with shutdown / start up procedures Ensure that all work performed is done in a safe manner Ensure all plant maintenance / lock out requirements are reported to the Plant Manager Prepare machinery for inspection Implement corrosion prevention measures Supervise subordinate staff Maintain maintenance records Train staff Control workshop equipment and tools Be available for 24-hour stand-by duties Document asset registers, service reports, and calibrations for all maintenance work undertaken Certified Artisan Fitter / Fitter and Turner Valid code 08 drivers licence 2 - 5 years' experience as a qualified Fitter / Fitter and Turner 2 – 5 years management experience N3: Wastewater and Water Treatment (advantageous) Grade 12
