Maintenance Manager - Chemical Manufacturing Industry - eThekwini

RPO Recruitment is currently working with a prominent chemical manufacturing company in their search for a skilled Maintenance Manager. As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations at the company's manufacturing facility. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the equipment and facilities, while also driving continuous improvement in maintenance processes. Responsibilities Develop and implement maintenance management systems and strategies in line with organizational performance plans, budgets, and timelines. Ensure adequate resourcing for the Maintenance Team to achieve organizational goals. Implement maintenance systems to meet world-class standards. Establish and maintain systems for measuring key aspects of maintenance management and development. Monitor, measure, and report on maintenance issues, opportunities, and development plans. Manage and develop direct reporting staff, addressing training needs. Provide leadership, mentorship, and motivational support to teams. Set, manage, and control departmental budgets. Collaborate with other managers to understand maintenance development needs and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Ensure compliance with quality management, health and safety, legal, environmental, and duty of care requirements. Develop and manage project plans for annual plant maintenance shutdowns, plant improvement capital expenditures, and projects. Requirements Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current) GCC (Preferable) Advanced Computer Literacy – MS Office, ERP (Sage) System 5 years’ experience in a chemical manufacturing plant in a similar role Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance best practices and reliability-centered maintenance principles Experience leading and developing high-performing maintenance teams Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Benefits Salary: negotiable Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity) Training & Development Paid Time Off (PTO) (if applicable) RPO is a Specialist Recruitment Agency that provides candidates and clients with unique recruitment solutions tailored to their needs.
