Our client is looking for Maintenance Technician to join their Maintenance department. The scope of the job is inclusive of all processing equipment, production tooling, buildings, lifting equipment and forklifts. Key Performance Areas: Carry out all maintenance as per schedule Attend to all breakdowns Keep records of down time, spares used and cost incurred Check production tooling Ensure forklifts and cranes are regularly serviced Regulatory compliance Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Carry out maintenance on all processing equipment as per a planned maintenance schedule Ensure the machines are serviced as per the planned maintenance schedule and records of service is documented on Preventive Maintenance Inspection Records QC054 and kept on file Ensure all breakdowns of machines, cranes, forklifts, trucks or general maintenance are attended to immediately and shall record the downtime, spares used and cost incurred on the relevant documents Record all outsourced work e.g. crane services, forklift services etc, and be kept on file Inspect production tooling such as slitting knives and rubbers on a monthly basis, ground when required, demagnetise after each grin and recorded. Any deficiencies found must be reported to Maintenance Manager Ensure all spacers from the Taiwanesse and Forte to be polished and free of any burrs Monitor the slitting knives so that replacement can be arranged within the required lead times Ensure that forklifts and cranes are regularly serviced and records of services are kept on file Monitor the critical and electrical spares list and updated on a monthly basis to ensure minimum stock levels are available Identify the critical spares and maintain the storage tool room Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures, regulatory / legislative requirements to quality, environmental and health and safety Assist with updating the Department Objectives Ensure that all safety measures are adhered to e.g. P.P.E, ear protection, etc. Ensure that all work area is clean & tidy during their shift and clean up done before end of shift Shall follow the non-conformance procedure QAG 10-02 for raising, problem solving and closing off non-conformance notes Assisting with any ad hoc duties as required to ensure the effective operation of the Maintenance / Production Department and of Steelbank as a whole Qualifications Requirements: Must have Senior certificate Minimum of an N3 mechanical qualification Trade tested will be advantageous Work Experience and Key Skills Requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with suppliers and internal customers Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook) Crane experience Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices 3-4 years mechanical manufacturing experience Apply Now
