Reference: PE002214-MT-1Our client who operates in the retail and logistics space, is seeking to employ a experienced Management Accountant / Accountant, based in Port Elizabeth.This person will be 2IC to the financial manager.Salary: R30k to R35k CTC A wonderful career opportunity awaits you. Requirements: More than 3 years of general accounting experience, either in a public accounting firm or in a private corporate environment. Retail and FMCG experience desired not mandatory. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, math, business administration, or a related field preferred. Staff management experience. Great interpersonal skills. Self-starter. Commercial experience ideal. Highly detail-oriented and organized. Ability to meet constant stream of deadlines. Familiarity with accounting software and programs. Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to: Fixed Asset Management. Balance Sheet Reconciliations. Salary Control Account Reconciliations. Intercompany Loan balancing. Interbranch Transfers balancing. Management Account preparation and review of smaller entity accounts before submission for final review by FM. Ensure the accuracy of accounts payable reports, maintain accurate back-up documents, and guarantees that all unpaid invoices are processed for an organization within the agreed terms. Analyse complex financial reports and records. Review journal entries of junior accountants to ensure accuracy. Train and mentor junior staff. Perform variance analyses and prepare account reconciliations. Prepare financial reports. Assist FM with forecasting reports.
