We are seeking an Account Manager to process accounting records accurately onto a computerized system, prepare annual financial statements, calculate taxation, complete statutory returns, and provide client liaison. Also, supervise and train junior and intermediate accountants. Supervise processing of client information Perform bank reconciliations and cash control Maintain fixed asset register and handle general journals Process journal entries and analyze trial balance Produce draft financials and working paper files Prepare notes to financial statements and formulate accounting policies Calculate tax liabilities and conduct tax planning Perform vouching tests during audits and reconcile VAT Complete statutory returns and manage client liaisons Review monthly files and perform administrative duties Provide training and compliance with firm policies Work Complexity: Complex accounting tasks based on individual capabilities Independence: Work independently with review by Manager or Director Direction of Others: Supervise junior accountants and assist intermediates when needed Matric with Accounting at Higher Grade BCom degree or equivalent with Accounting III and taxation Completed SAIPA or SAICA articles OR 6 years of relevant experience Interpersonal, communication, report writing, time management, problem-solving, organizational, and training presentation skills Strong accounting, taxation, and auditing knowledge Decisiveness, accuracy, prioritization, ability to work under pressure Six years or more of relevant accounting experience Computer Packages: Pastel, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), CaseWare, Xero
