A dynamic Mini Steel Plant is fast growing in KZN, has a vacancy for a STEEL SCRAP CO-ORDINATOR to join and be part of vibrant team. The applicant must be well spoken, hold a valid driver's licence and of sober habits with a good personality. Responsibilities: Identify potential suppliers of scrap materials to the company,and must be to negotiate price and payment terms which will be beneficial to both parties. Source and acquire scrap matarials from various potential suppliers whilst co-ordinating logistics thus ensuirng the quality is maintained and that the correct quantity is received. Build and maintain a proffesional working relationship with suppliers based on honesty and ethics. Duties: Manage Scrap Inventory and update the H.O.D's accordingly.Handle and resolve all issues and disputes with the supplier's pertaining deliveries, shortages and any other scrap materials disputes. Ensure scrap stock is at level to avoid production downtime. Implement efficient procurement process to maintain efficiency.Monthly reporting on average price cost against budgeted cost. Gather market information related to the company's manufacturing process and products. Must have matric with a proficiency in English/ Diploma in Marketing Applicant must have a minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in a steel plant Knowledge and understanding of steel is essential. Must be able to identify different grades of steel Be able to negotiate, meet deadlines Have telephone etiquette, negotiating skills, planning skills Understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel &Power Point Confident, honest, professional and willing to learn Be persistent and a quick thinker Traceable references Salary Negotiable
