To sell audio solutions on behalf of the brands represented within the Mediamark portfolio Job Title: Portfolio Sales Executive: National Sales Location: Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa Reference : CPTPSE002 Contract Type: Permanent Salary: Market Related Job Summary: Duties & Responsibilities: Establish, build & manage a portfolio of advertisers Achieve and exceed sales revenue budgets for brands relevant to portfolio Manage key relationship across channels -Grow relationships with a select group of clients and agencies defined across the Mediamark portfolio of channels -Cultivate a deep understanding of client business to ensure high level, turnkey solutions that unlock revenue -Manage client engagements including roadshows, immersions, workshops and key meetings with the client set -Build relationships, uncover challenges and needs with clients and relevant agencies specific to a defined portfolio -Identify trends and threats in select sectors to upsell new and existing products -Monitor performance of a portfolio (area of responsibility) on a weekly basis -Be part of an integrated solutions team to offer clients specialized media solutions through variety of opportunities -Promote Mediamark and its brands to clients -Be an active and highly effective networker – Build strategic and collaborative working relationships with internal and external customers Manage a portfolio of advertising clients and agencies to ensure portfolio targets are achieved: – Achieve and exceed sales revenue budgets – Develop a sales strategy to achieve set budgets by brand relevant to a specific portfolio -Develop detailed action plans to execute the sales strategy -Actively engage all available datapoints/touchpoints/information platforms to ensure solutions and market conversations remain relevant and impactful – Monitoring of annual commitments and regular tracking of spend trends -Build and develop strong relationships with clients, client media and communication partners to facilitate 360 solutions -Develop new business and maintain existing business -Managing the brands’ engagement opportunities for advertiser benefit -Prepare relevant reports providing feedback on sales activity, sales performance and all matters in process/outstanding/in need of resolution. -Carry out any reasonable request relating to National Sales, which may include afterhours work. Requirements: Experience: -Proven track record at a leading South African media owner in media sales with consistent achievement of revenue targets. -At least 3 years of agency / client facing media sales experience of presenting to large and small audiences of various levels within a business. Knowledge & Skills : -Strong interpersonal skills -Attention to detail -Excellent presentation skills -Excellent communication skills – written, verbal and telephonic -Above average problem solving ability and negotiation skills -Thorough understanding of marketing process – Able to make decisions – Strong leadership abilities -High energy levels -Responsible and reliable -Proactive -Commitment to support and execute on Mediamark’s overarching business strategy across channels. -Keen networker with established media agency and client network. -Appetite for corporate hospitality with agencies and clients.
