Our client is a market leader in liquor importing and distribution. They are looking for an experienced National Sales Manager to join their dynamic Sales team in Johannesburg. The successful incumbent will be reporting to the Head of Operations or his / her nominee and have a demonstrative success leading a team in the liquor industry. Experience in the liquor industry is essential. Roles and Responsibilities: Develop and implement effective sales strategies. Operational excellence. Lead nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets. Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts. Negotiate and close agreements with large customers. Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts. Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities. Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients’ needs. Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency. Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board. Manage export Sales. Qualifications and Experience Matric Grade or NQF Equivalent with a BCom Degree and/or Honours Degree or a relevant Post Graduate Qualification Proven work experience (at least 10 years) as a National sales manager in the Liquor Industry Solid working knowledge of sales, business development and planning An ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills Strong communication and team management skills Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude Availability to travel as needed Excellent communication skills. Strong business acumen and work ethic. Market Related
