Process Engineer (Monitoring) - - Uitenhage

As part of the Body Shop Process Planning team, the Process Engineer (Monitoring)s role is to provide support to production to ensure that critical elements of the Body shop Control plans are in place and adhered too.

Duties:

Participate in Sectional Team, Zonal Teams, Task Force Team and Continuous Improvement workshops and implement Ergonomic and Process improvement Ideas
Plan and co-ordinate the introduction of all Process Changes and implementation of facilities changes as identified via ECRs/Aekos
Establish investments required relevant to Process changes and create and update Process production plans
Complete Projects according to timing plans and within budget
Co-ordinate and maintain all Technical data for the production lines
Attend all in-house Audits to understand quality issues in order to support production to eliminate the correct root causes as well as process and VDA audits
Support correction of all welding non conformances within section

Qualifications:

National N Diploma, National Diploma or degree in Engineering/ Mechatronics/ Operations/ Production Management

Requirements:

2 - 3 years minimum technical/ engineering experience within an automotive manufacturing

Essentials:

Have knowledge of jigs and fixtures and be able to effect dimensional accuracy of vehicle body
Prepared to travel overseas
Communicate at all levels
Proven analytical skills with an innovative approach to problem-solving
Proficient in MS Office
Detailed knowledge of Body Shop processes and equipment
Sound technical knowledge with respect to the Production, Tooling, Facilities and Systems
