PROCESS TECHNICIAN (Automotive Industry) – Pretoria SHIFT POSITION Automotive components manufacturer is urgently looking to appoint a Process Technician at their plant in Pretoria East. Automotive industry experience is essential Qualifications & Experience National Diploma qualified in an Engineering or Chemical Engineering Supervisory/management qualification an advantage. PC literate i.e. Microsoft packages Experience in tooling function, chemical engineering and automotive industry Responsibilities Check chemical levels and conditioning, load material and record temperature on SPC charts Check chemical pumping system for air and chemical leaks. Check water traps and tank pressure Mould preparation and first off check Monitoring of ongoing production Reject / repair analysis and customer returns Responsible for training of foam operators Liaise and work with other Plant functions to industrialise new products and assist in new process introduction. Take ownership for process improvements required to drive ‘Right First Time' capability. Develop a route cause analysis culture within the Team by using and involving people in methodical structure problem solving techniques. Provide accurate data and reports. Drive Safety, Health and Environmental objectives within the function.
