Supply Chain & Logistics KZN Overview Acting as an intermediary between the purchasing team and logistics team by managing the Purchase Order flow from the order being placed, collected and received. Ensuring all orders placed by the purchasing team by email are recorded on our system with updated delivery dates. Ensuring that expected stock to be received in a container or LCL equal the purchase order. To assist the purchasing team with creating, updating and posting purchase orders. Setting up new items and new suppliers. Assisting UK team with receiving stock. Using inquiries and reports to analyse purchasing and receiving activity Below are additional tasks Analysing the reorders Analysing of Jem SA and UK containers Contract purchasing (Migros, Lakeland etc) Spain reordering direct shipments and branch transfers (Spain opened few months after I started with PME) Procuring stock for PME SA when required Analysing and building full containers (UMP and BM) Maintain schedules and documents (master costing Spain direct shipment transfer) Acting as the intermediator for suppliers and the graphics team and proofreading new and existing packaging Data integrity on GP Supplier relationship -working to improve the relationship and ensuring suppliers meet their commitments Price negotiations of orders and shipping rates Booking of shipments Compilation of reports – when required Putting together processes for smooth operations of tasks – when required
