The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who is passionate, self-starter and someone who pays attention to detail. Qualification: Tertiary qualification in Production Management or any similar qualification 5 years of experience in a similar position with at least 3years in managing a team Knowledge within the Hardware or Retail sector would be advantages Knowledge of IQ Retail System would be advantageous. Computer Skills: Microsoft Package Other Software Packages IT Skills Technical Skills Numeracy Business Acumen Relationship Building Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Soft Skills Numbers orientated Time Management Attention to Detail Resourcefulness Verbal & Written Communication Coordination Decisions-Making Problem Solving Analytical Thinking Performance Outputs Planning Liaise with Operations Manager re current projections vs. actual sales Review/ adjust monthly Planning Schedule & Weekly Plans Conduct weekly Production Meeting at Conversion & Daily Production meeting Extrusion, identify and action optimum programme to execute planned requirements Discover trends in market demand vs. stock, on hand (Finished, WIP, Raw and Packaging), identify potential shortfalls, recommend remedial action Review plant availability (condition, planned maintenance, schedule, etc.) Organizing (Shift Initiation) Review throughput requirement for shift Ensure all production inputs and resources are in place (Staff, machines, materials, dies, weighing scales) Controlling (Production) Plant & People declared safe to operate at start-up Monitor production flow ito. Plant performance, compliance with safety and health standards, quality, and best-practice requirements Identify deviations from required standards and their causes, initiate corrective action Monitor production flow ito.
