Reference: PS010178-CH-1A well-established plastic and packaging manufacturer requires the above to provide operational excellence to achieve production volumes, quality and efficiencies required in running a world-class manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Managing, directing and monitoring a team and the performance of subordinates to ensure that critical performance areas and targets are achieved. Achieving the production plans as per supply objectives. Managing the food safety and related policies/procedures within the production area. Creating and reviewing supply plans and ensuring they are in line with sales, lead time and productions plans. Prioritizing production on finished goods while ensuring service and stock levels are maintained. Consistently ensuring the welfare and safety of all staff within the production area. Coordinating and managing re-launches of new and renovated products. Overseeing systems and data integrity management. Continuously driving cost improvement across the conversion function. Ensuring effective quality control functions are in place and that the production volumes, quality standards, and cost targets are achieved. Driving the implementation of processes for new products. Planning, budgeting and costing responsibilities. Implementing initiatives to achieve and maintain world-class standards for production, quality and SHE management. Managing the quality reports. Minimum requirements for the role: Minimum 5 years Production Management experience working within the plastic converting industry is essential. Previous food safety experience, ISO22000 or BRC is a must. Must have a strong cost focus in order to assist the GM as require. It is essential to have strong management skills and must have previously manages a team. Previous blow moulding or injection moulding or any plastic converting experience is preferred. The ability to drive efficiencies. Must have previous knowledge on how to convert scrap. Must have a strong technical background. Salary package is highly negotiable based on experience gained. Annually
