Our Mining client in the Northern Cape is sourcing for a Mining Professional to join their production team. Responsibility: Health, Safety and Environment Complies with the Mine Health and Safety Act as well as company policies and procedures Production Assists with the drawing up of business strategy and budget formulation Ensure optimal production of mining and plant Achieve productivity targets Cost Ensure correct allocation of resources e.g., labour and equipment Allocate/withhold funds as dictated by operational requirements Labour management Define labour structure and ensure vacancies are filled within reasonable time Review subordinates' performances quarterly according to their respective KPIs Approval and monitor of overtime in maintenance department based on Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) requirement Manage leave schedule. Minimum Requirements: National Diploma or B. Degree in Mining Opencast Blasting Certificate Mine managers' certificate (Advantageous) Managerial qualification (Advantageous) At least 5-10 years' experience in open cast mining environment of which at least 2 years was at Production Manager level. Must have proven experience with opencast production & maintenance Medical Fitness Thorough experience in drilling, blasting, loading, hauling and pit dewatering Candidates must have a valid driver's license Knowledge / Competencies /Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication in English PC Proficient Must be medically fit and pass a medical examination as required from the designated mines Ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines as determined by the supervisor Must possess basic problem solving, basic self-management Market Related
