Astral Operations Ltd, a leading Southern African integrated poultry producer currently have a Quality Controller vacancy at their National Chicks Hatchery in Gauteng ; The ideal candidate would be responsible for; • Ensuring the highest product quality and hygiene standards are always maintained • Managing all labour related issues to ensure that all staff members are contributing to the objectives of the company • Keeping accurate records • Managing strict bio security protocols • Conducting audits – (Bio security, galaxy and hygiene) prepare action plans for corrective measures • Customer visits to evaluate quality and make recommendations on corrective action • 20 keys programmes The successful candidate must meet the following requirements: • Minimum Grade 12 education • Hatchery Management experience would be an advantage • Passionate, self-motivated and performance driven • A team player with exceptional leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse workforce • High level of computer literacy • Must be pro-active and be able to work accurately and independently • Working hours are irregular and may include weekend duties and night shift • Required to live on site
