Quality Manager - Upington
Title: Quality Manager - Construction (Solar and Substation Projects) Area: Upington, South Africa Salary: Market Related Employment Type: Contract Work Experience : Minimum 10- 15 years’ experience with 3- 5 years in Solar installations / Projects Qualifications: Must be a Civil / Electrical Engineering Graduate Approved Quality practitioner & Registered Engineer , QMS Lead Internal Auditor Responsibilities: Reporting to BU Quality Head functionally & site Project manager Administratively. Shall be able to prepare Manufacturer quality plans for the supply items. Shall be able to prepare Field quality plans for the civil , Mechanical & electrical works of the project. Shall prepare the work method statements in consultation with all stake holders & bring awareness to all. Shall attend the customer reviews & resolve issues. Prepare , establish Project Quality Plan, approval, issue & its implementation. Design & train individuals on PQP & Work procedure & QAP. Develop internal auditors in coordination with BU Quality head. Plan and conduct of internal audits as per schedule and corrective actions on time. Coordinate for external / customer audits including necessary corrective actions. Coordinate for timely disposal of non-conformity reports Monitoring customer complaints and coordinate with respective dept. for analyzing root cause and corrective actions on time. Set up & monitor QAQC activities of the project & Quality inspectors. Ensure procurement control through source evaluation and selection, source inspection and evaluation of objective evidence of quality furnished by supplier against the project specification. Inspection and approval for incoming materials/equipment. Coordinate with customer representative for various inspection. Coordinate with independent laboratory for material/ other tests as required. Ensure that construction contractors comply with the requirement of the approved contract quality plan, including all the sequential inspection operations. Coordinate and ensure inspection and tests of all subcontracted works as per spec., method statement and ITPs. Conduct MRMs and circulate the minutes for necessary actions.
