Our client is a cement manufacturer.
Job DescriptionYou will be responsible for managing a team of artisans to achieve high reliabilities from responsible assets by providing preventative and predictive maintenance.
- Ensuring quality of work of the mechanical team.
- Efficient utilisation of artisans and handymen time.
- Preparation and evaluation of mechanical work methods, safe operating procedures and planned task observation.
- Minimize plant downtime through quality emergency repairs and completion of scheduled maintenance tasks.
- Coaching and guiding subordinates.
- Recommending cost reduction initiatives.
- Participating in weekly and major shutdown planning and scheduling meetings.
- Manage shutdowns activities of subordinates and contractors.
- Compliance to legal and safety requirements.
- Provide timely feedback on equipment condition.
- Performance management of subordinates.
- Budget management and cost control.
- Grade 12 with Trade Test certificate in the Mechanical field
- Minimum of 5 7 years maintenance experience in a heavy industry environment
- Previous experience in the cement industry is essential.
- At least 5 years of people management experience and skills
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Systems
- Code B Drivers License
