Receiving / Stock Controller - South Africa
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join their team as a Receiving/Stock Controller. The primary responsibility of this role is to efficiently manage the receiving and stock control processes within the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in receiving and stock control procedures. Responsibilities: Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damage or discrepancies. Properly label, store, and organize received items in designated storage areas. Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock counts and reconciliation. Keep the receiving area, stockroom, and storage areas clean, organized, and free from obstructions. Ensure stock rotation and proper handling of perishable or time-sensitive items. Assist with picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment as needed. Physically fit to handle and lift heavy stock items. Assist customers and sales staff with inquiries, product location, and recommendations. Collaborate with purchasing and warehouse teams to optimize stock levels and replenishment processes. Assist customers/Sales Staff Requirements: Minimum of a Matric qualification. Prior experience in receiving, stock control, or warehouse operations preferred but not required. Knowledge or experience in plumbing equipment and/or sanware is advantageous. Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry heavy objects. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
