IMMEDIATE VACANCY: REGIONAL MANAGER BASED IN KZN REGION The Regional Manager's role is to manage the corrective and preventive active activities, planned work as well as provisioning of Multi-Customer and Multi Technology networks. The Regional Manager will supervise the Field Force in his/her Region. Manage the regional customer interaction and governances. The Regional Manager is expected to be the main driver and facilitator for improvements within the managed organization and is to take full responsibility for the delegated works that may have effect on the service supply quality vs. contracted scope of work for the service supply. The Regional Manager is responsible to schedule all the work within the area of control and ensure that work is completed with the right quality within the shortest time. The Regional Manager shall be aware of contractual SLA requirements. Based on this knowledge, he/she has the responsibility to supervise the fulfilment of SLA and MTTR The Regional Manager will manage regional SPOC's and Field teams. The Regional Manager will supervise subcontractor and field teams activities within the area of control and ensure that subcontractors and field teams deliver the committed level of service as per the contract. The Regional Manager will enforce contract terms within their region. The Regional Manager will schedule work including routine and non-routine maintenance work for both active and passive as well as ensure full compliance to schedule and SLAs. The Regional Manager will manage spares within area of control ensuring timely collection/return of replacement/faulty units. Regional Manager is the Legal Manager of the Field Technicians deployed in his/her area of responsibility He/she will sign expenses, approve vacation and keep control of the correct utilization of the assets Escalation point for any operational incident in his/her region Accountable for the application of HSE policy 16.2 Responsible to create active preventive plan and supervise passive preventive plan. Regional Manager shall supportive and co-operate with all internal/external customers and the general public in an exemplary manner Regional Manager shall be available in a 24 x 7 as he/she must work out of hours/out of area to support reactive and planned work requests Attend the Daily Scrums and weekly Governance Meetings and raise issues emanating from the meetings to National Operations Manager. The Regional Manager will ensure that all field teams are fully Operational Health and Safety compliant. Review operational report (Mainly Field operation KPIs reports, Generator reports and availability and ASP management Ensure that Field Operations priorities and work strategies are met Co-ordinate work with other team leaders Co-ordinate work within the own team Conduct or participate in recruitment interviews for selection of personnel. Delegate work to the personnel with adequate training and skills to perform the task. Recognize training requirements for personnel and give coaching where applicable. Ensure that National Operations Manager receives reports of Field Operations and / or other performance reports applicable to the service delivery on a scheduled basis. Provide technical support for the field technicians in the field when it is requested. Align with ASP Manager the control of the subcontractors. Attend weekly and monthly governance meetings and review sessions with the National Operations Manager Apply the spare part process and report problem or deviations. Manage regional budget and petty cash Manage Regional Fleet and assets. Manage Regional Spares, warehouses, boot stock and return material process. Have a minimum of 7 years of experience in Field Operations of Telecommunication networks. Have a good management background in the telecommunication industry preferably in the Field Operations area. Excellent knowledge of Field Operations routine procedures and processes. Excellent knowledge of subcontractor management. Excellent knowledge of the applicable OEM hardware and spare requirements. Excellent knowledge of the network topology, its traffic handling capabilities and traffic characteristics. Good knowledge of all network elements and their main characteristics. Excellent Communication Skills. Excellent People Management Skills. Good knowledge of network operations. Understand financial management. Excellent customer management skills.
