Reports to: Chief Financial Officer - Operationally and General Manager: Finance - Functionally Purpose of the job: The position performs monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing consolidation. Prepares financial statements in accordance with IFRS. Responsible for maintaining and consolidating the financial reports within the Group Critical experience: 3 years' work experience at a senior level plus 5 years' of relevant experience with General Ledger, consolidation and intercompany transfer pricing policy Excellent working knowledge of Excel, Sage Evolution and Microsoft Excel. Strong working knowledge of IFRS required Strong hands-on General ledger transactions and consolidation experience large enterprise accounting system. Requires excellent financial reporting skills at a high level of expertise Previous experience in an international corporate environment is an added advantage Strong working knowledge of multi-currency transactions and related impacts on the financial statements Ability to multitask and work effectively both independently and in teams, ensuring timely completion of assignments and meeting established standards Accounting consolidation - Meet global reporting requirements - Compilation and corresponding review of financial data Reports and month-end reconciliation - Accuracy in prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports in a timely manner Internal Process Quality of the Group - Work with regional finance teams to align accounting policies and procedures for key areas globally to ensure a standard procedure is followed Audit and Compliance - Prepared required documentation for audits internally and externally. Ensure and maintain an up-to-date status. Interface with external auditors for periodic financial reviews, controls testing and other inquiries Financial Performance Index - Prepare and monitor reports of expenditure and revenue for projects, closings of books of financial statements and finalise financial statements Minimum Education: Degree in Finance, Accounting or another relevant field required Registered CA (SA) Essential, preferably articles in Big 4.
