Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a Reservations Manager for a Luxury Lodge, Part of a Large Property Group, in the Okavanga Delta, Botswana. The position will be based from Camps Bay, Cape Town. Job Purpose: Ensure the highest standards of performance and service in reserving accommodations and additional services. You'll operate within clearly defined standards and expectations, where your specialized safari and accommodation reservations expertise is recognized. Minimum Experience and Qualifications Required: Grade 12 certificate 2 years’ management experience or 5 years’ senior experience at a reputable operator Computer literacy (Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel) Knowledge of travel management processes Experience with Property Management Systems (Opera) Outstanding telephone manner and English language skills (verbal and written) Flexibility with working hours, including weekends and public holidays Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Customer service and interpersonal skills Basic understanding of the Delta's geography Advantageous Experience and Qualifications Desired: Certification in travel or hospitality Exposure to Opera and various distribution systems Knowledge of Southern Africa safari destinations Key Performance Objectives: Embody the company's mission and values, delivering exceptional service, and adhering to service standards. Manage the Junior Tour Operator/Team by ensuring floor presence during peak times, conducting staff interactions positively, and taking personal responsibility for guest and staff situations. Conduct 1:1s and appraisals, nurturing positive relationships with employees, supporting their learning and performance excellence, and implementing performance management tools. Ensure guests receive an exceptional experience by managing travel-related duties, maintaining relationships with departments, suppliers, and international sales managers, maximizing revenue opportunities, and accurately handling reservations and related administration.
