Our client, a leading Mechanical Engineering concern in Bellville, wants to appoint a Health, Safety and Environment Manager (HSE) to manage, oversee and to enhance the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Management System for 3C of the company. The primary focus will be to ensure compliance with international standards, local regulations, and industry requirements. Leading the HSE department, conducting audits, implementing improvements, and communicating HSE policies. The position is responsible for the overall safety culture for both company and the subsidiaries. Maintain and modify the HSE Management System in compliance with regulations and client requirements. Supervise the HSE department, plan audits, and implement improvements. Conduct risk assessments, identify hazards, and develop control measures to mitigate potential risks. Report on safety statistics and ensure compliance with relevant standards. Develop and implement action plans for HSE awareness. Assist in addressing client requests and coordinating HSE aspects of projects, within the workshops as well as site and deployment work. Responsible for Incident investigations. Included as part of company HSE management will be the management of the company security system. Manage HSE communication within the Group. Implement the Group Safety Code, prepare and distribute the Group HSE Report. Provide HSE KPIs, records, and reports for all entities. Collaborate with subsidiary HSE Representatives, General Managers, and Operations/Project Managers Skills required: Strategic orientation and ability to propose relevant HSE policies. Strong safety awareness and capability to implement change campaigns. Effective oral and written communication skills. Efficient management of multiple tasks and projects. Preparation and conduct of relevant training programs. Inclusive collaboration with all levels of personnel, inside and outside the organisation. Minimum 5 -7 years of HSE management experience in the industrial sector. Full knowledge of ISO 45001/ ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 and local and international legal requirements. Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in HSE Management or a related field. Experience in ISO implementation and internal auditing. SANTRAC and SACPCMP qualifications / registration or equivalent will be required. Market related Apply Now
