Komatsu South Africa has an amazing opportunity in the Operations Division at Pinetown for a Service Section manager. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 6-10 years' relevant work experience in the Mining and Heavy Earthmoving equipment industry, 2 years supervisory experience and a relevant Trade Certificate or Technical Diploma Specific Knowledge requirements: • SAP - Intermediate • MS Excel - Intermediate • Basic Principles of the Labour Relations Act and MS power point Sounds knowledge of Komatsu Products Job description: • Provides input into strategy of the department / function / discipline / strategic project. • Plans resource allocation and priorities. • Implements functional / discipline strategy into operational plans & goals. • Implements approved structures (people, process, technology). • Manages resource allocation and cost. • Collaborates with other organisational units to achieve objectives and results. • Analyses and assess the progress of operational plans. • Manages mechanisms for business results measurement, aligned with plans & objectives. • Devises corrective and preventative plans to achieve agreed objectives. • Submits progress reports on tactical plan implementation, cost, progress, and status. • Participates in planning the human resource allocation, acquisition, retention, and motivation within agreed People Plan priorities. • Implements preventative- and risk mitigation short term plans for anticipated human resources needs. • Managing disciplinary actions. • Participates in the planning session of the departmental / section budget. • Implements Corporate Governance structures, policies & procedures where applicable in business unit/ department. • Liaises with key stakeholders/service providers and suppliers. • Manages and maintains contracts in contracts repository. (Either centralised or de-centralised) Manage and oversee the product support function and warranty procedures within the area. Qualifications: • Trade Certificate/Technical 3-year Diploma. Experience: • 6-10 years relevant working experience. • 2 years Supervisory experience. Salaried C5
