Our client is currently recruiting for a Network Operations Centre Manager. This role will expose you to a diverse working environment and the opportunity to connect with other individuals in the organization. This is a 6-month initial contract, extendable up to 36 months. Location: Centurion ROLE PURPOSE The Senior Infrastructure (and Security) role is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of an organization's IT infrastructure and security measures. This role requires deep expertise in network architecture, server management, cloud services, and cybersecurity practices. Senior Infrastructure professionals collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of the organization's technology stack. They lead initiatives to optimize infrastructure performance, minimize downtime, and mitigate security risks through proactive monitoring and strategic planning. Additionally, they stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously enhance the organization's infrastructure and security posture Design, implement, and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance. Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices to safeguard the organization's assets and data. Lead efforts to monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and breaches. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into all aspects of infrastructure design and operations. Stay updated on emerging technologies, threats, and industry trends to continuously enhance infrastructure and security posture. Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and penetration testing to identify and address security gaps. Manage access controls, identity and access management (IAM), and privilege management systems. Oversee the implementation and management of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and other security tools. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior infrastructure and security staff. Liaise with external vendors, partners, and stakeholders on security-related matters. Skill Experience Mandatory / Preferred and other comments HPE Infrastructure management 10 years Mandatory with HP Openview certification preferred 3par and MSA storage management 10 years Mandatory Network Administration and Configuration 10 years Mandatory Linux Administration and configuration 5 years Mandatory VMWare Hypervisor Administration and configuration 5 years Mandatory Manage Engine Administration and Configuration 5 years Mandatory Symantec DLP and endpoint security 5 years Preferred F5 Administration and Configuration 5 years Preferred CISCO Switches Administration and Configuration 5 years Preferred Fortigate Firewall Administration and Configuration 5 years Preferred A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field is required. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure and security roles, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility and leadership. Advanced certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert), or equivalent are highly preferred. Expertise in network architecture, server management, cloud services, and cybersecurity practices. Proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing complex IT infrastructure and security solutions. Extensive experience with regulatory compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and SOC 2. Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Ansible) for infrastructure provisioning and management. Strong leadership skills with experience in mentoring, coaching, and guiding junior team members. Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and security issues effectively. Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Apply Now
