Senior Technician Cape Town - Automation Capital - Cape Town Region

Automation Capital is seeking a skilled, motivated and dedicated Senior Technician who would like to be part of our dynamic team. The Senior Technician – will be responsible for performing advanced maintenance functions, procedures, activities and responsibilities associated with working with Copiers, Telecoms, Solar, and CCTV with limited guidance. Duties include learning, assisting and mentoring other technicians with maintaining, repairing, servicing, troubleshooting, overhauling, installation, and commissioning of Copiers, Telecoms, Solar, and CCTV products. Knowledge of the setup and programming and installation of the following on-site PBX units . 1. Yeastar S series and P series PBX 2. Epygi UC20 and UC80 Range PBX Knowledge of the setup and programming and installation of the following Hosted PBX systems. 1. 3cx 2. 3CX SBC setup –( Session board controller) Understanding the setup of hosted-based PBX systems is crucial, there are many of them out there, the ones we use are 3CX and VPBX(ICT Globe platform) Knowledge that the technician will ideally have: 1. Setup and programming of SIP Trunks(Lines) 2. Setup and programming of Sip Extensions. 3. Knowledge and experience in setup and programming of Yealink- (desk and cordless) and Snom (desk and cordless)- (Sip phones) 4. Knowledge and experience in the setup on Portal based platforms.( these are where the sip trunks are hosted, ICT Ninja and Portal billing are what we use) 5. Knowledge and experience in networking in general – pertaining to network cabling, switches, POE switches etc. 6. Knowledge and experience in the setup and programming of routers both LTE and Wan based (fibre) 7. Knowledge and experience in the setup and programming of Port forwarding ( on routers) 8. Knowledge and experience in the setup and programming of WIFI networks and Point-to-point devices. 9. Knowledge and experience in the setup programming of printers in general. 10. Knowledge and experience in fault finding on different systems being PBX, networking infrastructure, printers, and CCTV. 11. Knowledge and experience in the setup and programming of access control would be beneficial. 12. Knowledge and experience in the installation setup and programming of CCTV – DVR and NVR-( we use Provision and Hikvision) 13. Knowledge and experience in the setup and fault-finding of standalone inverter systems.
