Well known Bakery Plant is looking to appoint a well-experienced Millwright OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION • Ensure full functionality of all bakery machines • Ensure machinery is utilized to full capacity and in working order • Planned maintenance executed and improved operational efficiency at all machines assigned to the position • Replacement and maintenance cost reduced i.r.o all machines assigned to position • Ensure execution of preventative and emergency maintenance as per job cards • Electrical and mechanical overhauls • Rewiring of electrical machinery with view of effecting improvements • Overhaul spare/old machinery to be available when breakdowns occur • Maintain and set up new machines • Assist Production on daily maintenance orders • Assist QA with audit requirements 1. Functional Skills/Competencies a) Functional/Technical: • Ability to work at a very fast pace • Analytical and accurate • Problem solver b) Personal Effectiveness: • Good interpersonal skills • Attention to detail • Sense of urgency • Must be able to handle pressure • Good decision-making skills • Strong influential skills 2. Skills/Experience Requirements: • Tertiary Millwright and/or Electrician Qualification (Degree or Diploma) • At least 4 years plant experience within a FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) environment • Knowledge of Safe working procedures • Knowledge and understanding of Food Safety, Hygiene, HACCP, GMP, H&S standards 3. Physical Requirements • Ability to work in a plant environment for extended periods of time (high temperature/high humidity environment) • Ability to work in a workshop environment for extended periods of time (high noise) • Ability to work weekends and public holidays
