Site Agent - Paarl - Paarl

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Site Agent to oversee the construction of a three-storey building, 50 units on the two top levels, basement parking and commercial section on the ground floor , and requires a diligent and knowledgeable individual to ensure its successful completion.

Responsibilities:

1. Overall management and coordination of the construction project from start to finish, ensuring adherence to timeline, budget, and quality standards.

2. Supervision of site personnel including subcontractors, engineers, and labourers to maintain productivity and safety.

3. Regular monitoring and reporting of project progress, identifying any issues or delays and implementing corrective measures as necessary.

4. Coordination with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve technical queries and ensure compliance with building regulations and specifications.

5. Procurement and management of construction materials, equipment, and resources to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

6. Implementation and enforcement of site safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.

7. Preparation and maintenance of project documentation including reports, schedules, and budgets.

8. Conducting regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure workmanship meets established standards and specifications.

9. Liaising with clients and attending meetings to provide updates on project progress, address concerns, and manage expectations.

10. Providing leadership and guidance to the project team, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment.

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 10 years of experience working as a Site Agent or similar role in the construction industry, with a proven track record of successfully managing medium to large-scale projects.

2. Qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.

3. Thorough understanding of construction methods, building codes, and regulations relevant to residential apartment block projects.

4. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team of professionals and stakeholders.

5. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to resolving issues.

6. Familiarity with local suppliers, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities an advantage.
