The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing various aspects of our international operations, with a focus on customer interaction, export documentation, and overall office coordination. This position demands a keen eye for detail, being proactive and using own initiative, strong communication skills, and the ability to excel in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. Service Excellence / Customer Engagement: Interact professionally with customers from diverse geographical regions Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Market Experience: Prior experience in a buying and selling (Trading Market) environment is essential to comprehend market dynamics and trends, enabling informed decision-making Organizational Abilities: Maintain a high level of organization to streamline office operations and enhance productivity. Ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and Investigate new key Suppliers / exclusive contracts. Maintain and expand the supplier database Negotiation Skills: Possess strong negotiation skills to effectively engage with suppliers and customers, securing favourable terms and agreements for the company. Export Documentation: Utilize your expertise in export documentation to facilitate smooth international transactions, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Understand and report on Competitor activities, areas of weakness / opportunities Excel Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel to efficiently manage data and reports essential for the operation of the Cape Town office. Planning & scheduling of orders to ensure they are in line with client expectations Ensure correct documentation has been received from supplier (100% accurate quotations to clients) Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment Goal-oriented, organised team player Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels Own reliable transport – punctual . Diploma and or Degree Purchase Management / Supply Chain / similar beneficial Prior exposure to a buying and selling (Trading Market) environment Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Analytical skills are essential Aptitude for figures – Math and Numeracy Conflict Resolution Skills - manage realistic deadlines expectations Attention to detail and Accuracy of information flow.
