Unique Personnel boasts over 50 years (established in 1970) of personnel and staffing experience, so it's not surprising that even though our main focus has been providing on South African Staffing Solutions, we now recruit internationally for over 5000 clients Reports to Group Leader – Production: Basic Mono & THC Role Summary The role of the Team Leader is to lead and organise his team within the Basic Mono and THC plants, as assigned to ensure daily production targets are met, whilst ensuring full health and safety compliance, and adhering to all standardised work instructions and quality procedures. Accountabilities Position Accountabilities: Safety KPI’s are met, and safety standards adhered to Production and manufacturing targets are met, including raw material crushing, transfer and preparation as per plant requirements. Ensure team members are effectively utilised and assigned to daily tasks to meet require outputs for assigned plant. Role Accountabilities: Lead by example in all Safety behaviours, time and attendance and adherence to SWI’s and work instructions Best Operator within his Team, able to operate and do basic problem sovng on all equipment operated and covered within area of responsibility. Report risks, deviations and opportunities for improvement timeously to direct manager or Group Leader with proposed corrective actions Encourgae Teamwork and cooperation withing team to continuously improve and reman flexible with plant requirements. Responsibilities Position Responsibilities: Oversee the work of operators, providing guidance and mentorship as needed. Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Ensure Team adheres to required shift plan ad production plan for assigned area of responsibility. Ensure raw material crushing, transfer and preparation i.e., batching is concluded before required production run as per schedule. Monthly stock takes and reporting of stock figures. Prompt reporting of any observed deviations. Ensure required packaging material and other consumables including PPE for Team is timeously ordered for next planned production run. Key Accountability: Ensure Safety targets are met and maintained, and safety standards as implemented maintained and displayed at all times. Meet specified production and quality targets, including raw material crushing, transferring and preparation. Qualifications Matric (Grade 12) or NQF 4 equivalent Experience Minimum 3 – 4 years in applicable refractory plant – experience in operating most of eh equipment within plant of advertisement Computer Literacy Microsoft excel Basic required and Syspro knowledge advantageous. Initiative and self-starting abilities Self-motivated and work independently Trustworthy and Honest Be able to work in a pressured environment. Be able to complete tasks efficiently and effectively
