Technician - Midrand - Midrand
We are searching for a detail-oriented, dependable technician to join our growing team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate should reside in Midrand / Centurion or Johannesburg North. The technician's responsibilities include monitoring and servicing systems, diagnosing problems and troubleshooting equipment, running tests and completing reports, updating and improving existing systems, and repairing or replacing faulty equipment. You should collaborate with other professionals and be able to make useful recommendations wherever possible. This is a dual function role you will be required to do repairs in the workshop and visit clients onsite to do repairs. This Senior position would suite someone who understands the big picture, who has the ability to prioritize and constantly find solutions to technical problems and output issues. This person would need to have managed staff previously and should have a broad knowledge of electronics. Technician Responsibilities: Inspecting, analyzing, and troubleshooting systems and equipment. Reading repair manuals and liaising with other professionals. Running tests and interpreting results to make effective recommendations. Writing up reports, safety regulations, and preventative maintenance plans. Install, repair, troubleshoot, or offer routine maintenance on coffee machines and related products. Ensure all machines are operating at the best technical level. Active and responsible in ensuring the customer machine universe is of a standard that every machine delivers an excellent cup of coffee. Make inputs for continuous improvements. Qualifications: Matric / Grade 12. Driver’s license. 5 years’ experience on electronics. Technical knowledge of coffee machines will be very advantageous. Technical and electrical knowledge. Bench repair experience with small appliances or similar products within the Hospitality and Catering Industry. Knowledge/exposure of digital systems. Good communication skills. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to excel under pressure. Ability to problem solve.
