Vodacom (Pty) Ltd’s core business is to build and manage a GSM cellular network and to provide bulk airtime to service providers in South Africa . Vodacom South Africa recruits Specialist (Online Content) to be based in Midrand Reference Number: 6303/AA/SpecOnlCont/YS/Mid Job Title: Specialist: Online Content Location: Midrand Job Level:5 (upper) Reports To:Project Manager Objectives: Identification of all business owners of online content Conducting regular scheduled sessions with these business owners in order to determine any required changes to content Documenting the required changes, liaising with the web copywriter where required and obtaining approval of the content from the business owner and Corporate Communications (where necessary) Implementing content changes via the Content Management System Reports on the review session and the number of requested changes and the age of the various online content elements Documentation and communication of the review schedules and the processes to be followed for content updates Managed relationships with various business owners of online content and other related stakeholders Thorough understanding of the use of the CMS and the ability to educate business users in using it where applicable Liaising with the relevant technical divisions responsible for the CMS Quality assurance of all Online Content Provide support to business units in content creations and CMS utilization Key Outputs: Managed Stakeholders Managed Online Content Changes Compiled Reports Conducted Training Managed Quality Provided Support Competencies: Skills: Administration of online content via a CMS (preferably Vignette) Meeting facilitation Documentation of online content requirements Reports creation Relationship Management Quality Assurance Training and support Use of a word processor Networking Computer Applications Communication Analytical Decision Making Project Management Stress Management Time Management Knowledge: Online content administration via a CMS Web content formulation fundamentals PC Basics (word processing, spreadsheets etc.) Business Environment Attitudes: Approachable Assertive Consistent Diplomatic Disciplined Discreet Helpful Innovative Initiative Integrity Positive Pro-active Quality orientated Responsible Reliable Resilient Studious Tenacity Requirements: Qualifications: Matric Certificate (Essential) 3 year Qualification in IT, BA or equivalent (Essential) Experience: 3-5 years working experience working in the online space Other: Be willing to work long hours when required Employment Equity: The Company’s approved Employment Equity Plan and Targets will be considered as part of the recruitment process.
