A vacancy has arisen for a Warehouse Supervisor in Longmeadow, Modderfontein. The core function of this position is to effectively manage and supervise the flow of incoming and outgoing product to meet customer requirements. Manage the receipt of stock from suppliers. Manage the picking, loading, delivery and invoicing of customer orders. Manage the collection/return of customer and supplier stocks-returns. Manage walk-in customers and card payments. Ensure that the highest standard of customer service is maintained at all times. Manage transfers of stock between Consignment and intercompany warehouses. Manage the housekeeping and safekeeping of all the Chemipol stock including samples, flowbins etc. Prepare and manage monthly stock take and investigate all stock take variances. Manage/maintain all the bin allocations by ensuring that the actual stock vs the Syspro stock are in balance. Ensure that all paperwork regarding stock receipts, issues, transfers, returns and adjustments are given to the relevant departments. Manage all company fleet vehicles fuel and monitor. Manage the licencing, roadworthy, preventative/reactive maintenance of all company fleet vehicles. Ensure all deliveries are completed as per customer requirements and lead times. Ensure fleet delivery routes are developed for maximum efficiency and minimized costs. Ensure daily trip sheets and deliveries are effectively managed and up to date. Manage the dispatch department warehousing staff, and drivers including but not limited to, training, recruitment, job descriptions, prioritising, guidance and direction etc. Conducting all HR related functions within your department, warehousing staff and drivers including but not limited to, discipline, leave, overtime, performance appraisals, timesheets. Ensure that employees adhere to rules and procedures as stipulated by company policy. Monitor employee performance, to ensure that the department reaches its set goals. Ensure all resources effectively utilised to meet changing business needs. Allocate and manage warehouse resources according to changing business need. Attend meetings and various discussions relating to various areas of the warehousing, staff and drivers. Monitoring, managing and minimising the cost surrounding all activities within the warehouse, dispatch department. Any other reasonable additional duties given from time to time (required of the Employee in order to enable the Company to fully utilise its manpower resources) Minimum Requirements: Completed Grade 12 (Matric) 2 - 3 Year's experience in warehouse/supply chain or logistics. Computer literacy - MS Office including Excel, Word & outlook knowledge necessary. Syspro experience (advantage) Technical Skills: Excellent listening and verbal communication skills Ability to set high goals/standards of performance for self Excellent attention to detail Self-organized Ability to multi-task in fast-paced dynamic environment Only applicants who meet the requirements for the job will be considered and only successfull short-listed candidates will be contacted.
