The Workshop Manager is responsible for the supervison of activities in a multi-trade workshop and yard maintaining and repairing Suspended Access Equipment (SAE). Production/day to day tasks: Manage Workshop and Field Service maintenance activities Supervise, mentor, train, evaluate and discipline direct reports Attend to breakdown's promptly and efficiently Manage maintenance and repair costs with budget Ensure sound maintenance of hire equipment to minimize breakdowns Ensure that equipment is maintained, repaired and serviced in accordance with company procedure and OEM specifications Ensure that each hoist and associated components has a work history to satisfy Driven Machinery Regulations (DMR) and OEM requirements Perform the load testing services promptly and in a professional manner, with due care, skill and diligence. Ensure that load testing is carried out in accordance with OEM specifications and prevailing legislation; Do quality checks to ensure that work is carried out thoroughly by the workshop technicians and yard team Establish and maintain excellent customer relationships Work closely with the Sales Team and Customers giving prompt feedback, advice and resolving issues Assist technicians with trouble shooting and problem solving (workshop and remotely) Must have Minimum Grade 12 Relevant trade preferred LMI registration preferred Minimum 10 years' experience servicing and maintaining SAE R40 000 - R50 000 Benefits will be discussed during process
