Job & Company Description:The purpose of this role is to manage financial transactions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. This includes maintaining financial records, conducting financial analysis, and supporting strategic decision-making.
Other duties include:
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, including the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Oversee financial transactions, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Conduct financial analysis and offer insights that aid management in making effective decisions.
Key Outputs:- Communication: Represent the company by maintaining positive relationships and networks with all stakeholders, responding to enquiries promptly, and demonstrating strong customer service and quality communication in all interactions.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review accurate financial statements, ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, conduct compliance audits, and communicate financial information to management and stakeholders.
- Transaction Management: Oversee and manage accounts payable and receivable processes, general ledger entries, and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial transactions, while monitoring accounts, reviewing and approving invoices and payments, and categorizing financial transactions.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis including variance analysis, forecasting, and trend analysis to provide insights and recommendations supporting strategic decision-making by collaborating with management.
- Compliance and Audit Support: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, support audits, implement effective internal controls, monitor changes in standards, and collaborate with auditors to implement and document controls.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (Professional certifications or Masters preferred)
Experience:- Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounting or related field
- Proficiency in accounting software, financial management systems, and Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of GAAP or IFRS
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Adherence to ethical standards and integrity in financial handling
- Ability to collaborate across departments and with team members
- Familiarity with financial regulations, compliance standards, and ERP systems
