- Maintaining Trail Balances.
- Overseeing full accounting function (including all general ledger accounts and inventory).
- Journal and general ledger transactions and reconciliations.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Weekly and monthly preparation and financial analysis of management accounting figures.
- Monitoring, analysis of inventory costs, reconciliation and ad hoc attendance of inventory counts
of all inventory departments.
- Maintenance of fixed asset register.
- Do bank payments.
- Maintenance of SARS regulatory requirements, including reviewing of vehicle logbooks,
implementing, and maintaining compliance with legal requirements.
- Preparation of annual budget.
- Preparation of audit documents.
- Preparation of forecasts.
- Assist with preparation of management accounts, in-depth of analysing results against budgets
and forecasts.
- Assist the Director with other requests, projects and responsibilities that may arise.
- Assist in Financial Statements preparation.
Skills required:
Good knowledge of accounting principles
Computer literate, MS Office proficient, especially Excel
Sage Accounting experience
Efficient, organised, accurate
Detail orientated / meticulous attention to detail required
Ability to multi-task
Deadline oriented
