Accountant CA (SA) - - South Africa

Responsibilities:

Take responsibility for the monthly, quarterly, and year-end internal and external financial reporting. This would include, but is not limited to:
Preparation and review of month-end journals;
Preparation and analysis of monthly financial results and responding to queries raised;
Review monthly account reconciliations and investigate reconciling items;
Preparation of weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual operational, management, and external reports and regulatory returns
Assisting in the annual budget process; and
Preparation of annual financial statements, in accordance with IFRS and liaising with external auditors.
Processing and releasing of payments and advances
Be involved in and take initiative in the improvement of the current reporting and internal control processes.
Supervise and coach junior staff members
Assisting in ad-hoc projects as and when the need arises.

Requirements

B Com Accounting
Qualified CA (SA)
5 years'' Accountant experience + Xero / Pastel Evolution + Advanced Excel experience
5 years of experience in the Food industry with BI Analyst exposure
Good technical ability and experience in the application of IFRS principles
Excellent verbal and written communication
Able to adapt and learn quickly
Must be fully vaccinated
