Reference: SW004830-CL-1 Urgently Hiring: Durbanville: An iconic Wine Estate Establishment, perched on the hilltop of the beautiful Durbanville Valley, has a vacancy for an Accountant to join their dynamic Finance Team. Candidates who currently reside in close proximity to Durbanville, will be considered for this position. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Manage accounting transactions and budget forecasts Reconcile accounts payable and receivable Compute taxes and prepare tax returns Report on the company's financial health and liquidity Audit financial transactions and documents Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information Summarize current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information Maintain financial security by following internal controls Criteria includes: Grade 12 / BCOM or CIMA 5 years working as a Senior Bookkeeper or Accountant Previous experience working in a similar position in the hospitality industry is recommended Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel Proficiency in the English & Afrikaans languages Xero and Pastel experience is essential Other systems: Lightspeed / iKentoo and Marketman is recommended Monthly
