Our client is currently seeking a senior accountant to join their finance team. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and analyse cost reports, budgets, and financial statements. Monitor and manage manufacturing costs, including materials, labour, and overhead. Conduct cost variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management. Develop and maintain standard costing systems and procedures. Oversee inventory accounting and ensure accurate valuation. Collaborate with production and operations teams to streamline cost control processes. Assist in financial forecasting and planning. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred. Minimum of 6 years' Accounting experience within a Manufacturing environment. Strong proficiency in cost accounting principles and practices. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel (Advanced) Syspro would be advantageous. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
