ENGLISH AND AFRIKAANS A MUST - Processing of the cashbooks - Debtors reconciliation Creditors recon - Bank recon - Update & reconcile loan accounts Loan amortisations - Reconcile & submit VAT returns & all other balance sheet items - Keep accurate records of all journals passed - Prepare monthly management accounts - Checking payment requests - Loading payments - Printing/Sending proof of payments Updating interest shedules for call account holders - Interest calculations on loan accounts - Reconcile loan accounts Presenting management account to financial manager Able to identify errors Able to do basic analysis of financial results Receive investment statements and adjust fair value in accounting records Calculate provisional tax and be able to read and interpret sars statement of account Send invoices out and collect on them B Comm Accountant Degree Key Performance Areas: Processing of various cash books and bank reconciliations Reconciliation of general ledger accounts Reconciling of inter-company loan accounts Initiating journal entries Maintenance of trial balance Updating and maintaining fixed assets register Assisting with creditors queries and creditors reconciliations Assisting with the finalization of month end stock Assisting with SARS queries Assisting auditors with year-end procedure Assisting with imports function Obtaining an understanding of accounting systems and related internal controls Identifying and investigating internal control weaknesses and non-compliances Auditing branch best practice systema and controls Other related tasks and functions as determined from time to time
