Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team in Cape Town, Western Cape. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Accounting (B.Com Accounting) and possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the field. The Accountant will play a crucial role in managing financial reports, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. This full-time position offers the opportunity to be an integral part of our financial operations while contributing to the overall success of the company. Responsibilities Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting standards. Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and financial statements. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, ensuring accurate and timely transactions. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns. Analyze financial data and generate reports to assist management in decision-making. Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing analytical insights. Collaborate with auditors during financial audits and implement recommended adjustments. Continuously improve accounting processes and procedures for greater efficiency. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting (B.Com Accounting) or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations in South Africa. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, QuickBooks) and MS Excel. Excellent analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to tasks. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to meet deadlines and work independently or as part of a team.
