As an African Futurist, you will play a key role in researching, analysing, and envisioning the future of Africa. This is an opportunity to contribute to shaping policies, fostering innovation, and promoting cultural preservation in a dynamic and diverse environment. Responsibilities: Conduct research on current trends, emerging technologies, and socio-economic dynamics relevant to Africa. Develop scenarios and narratives about possible futures for the continent, considering factors such as technological advancements, environmental changes, and cultural shifts. Advocate for policies and initiatives that support innovation, sustainable development, and equitable access to resources. Engage in education and outreach activities to raise awareness about future trends and possibilities for Africa. Collaborate with stakeholders, including policymakers, scholars, entrepreneurs, and community organizations, to address complex challenges and opportunities facing the continent. Explore entrepreneurial opportunities and innovation initiatives aimed at developing futuristic solutions tailored to African contexts. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., economics, sociology, international development, futurism). Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and communicate findings effectively. Passion for Africa and a deep understanding of its diverse cultures, histories, and challenges. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders. Proven track record of advocacy, entrepreneurship, or innovation in African contexts is a plus. Fluency in English; proficiency in other African languages is desirable.
