The Primary duty of the OSE is to provide technical expertise in facilitating the smooth running of the “”Sites”” Information and Service technology platforms across “sites” estate to maximize service delivery of IT services to our customers and maximize productivity to “”sites”” internal business services. The OSE will be assigned specific client “”sites”” by the OSE team leader for which they will be directly responsible in managing to a high professional standard Take responsibility for the smooth running of all “”Client/Sites””desktops, laptops, tablets, smart devices, OS's and applications for all users Installation/configuration of software including email, antivirus or any third party applications requested by the customer – Excluding software that requires outsourced support Provide support for any IT related issue as direct by management Maintain/Upgrade/Troubleshoot all customer hardware including PC's and peripherals, network devices or other devices requested by client – Excluding hardware supplied and maintained by other vendors Liaise with external suppliers/vendors for the repair of equipment/software under warranty or maintenance contract Take ownership of incidents and professionally manage them through to resolution Ensure all incidents, issues and changes are recorded by users through the service desk Manage incidents, problems and changes through CRM (service desk tool) Provide hands on support for other IT teams, i.e. Linux team Undertake other tasks as assigned by management Provide support for all IT related projects (out of hours working, occasional nights and weekends) Provide weekly reports to management for all issues at assigned “”sites”” Completing Monthly Timesheets and Travel Claims dutifully and diligently and correctly Request quotes with proper information on hardware/software Manage small projects under the supervision and with the assistance of Team Leader As Supervisory Role take responsibility for subordinate Provide first line escalation to Junior technician Assist Junior Engineers where required/requested Creates/maintains documentation for “”site”” in Wiki Escalate to relevant team/senior if beyond ability or responsibility Qualifications Junior: CompTIA A - or equivalent knowledge/experience CompTIA N - or equivalent knowledge/experience MCSA – Office 365 Midlevel: MCSA – Server Administration MCSE – Office 365 Sophos XG Firewall Engineer Key Performance Areas Technology Skills: Desktop support 1 and 2nd line support Performs IMAC (Install, Move, Add and Change) Microsoft Windows OS 1st and 2nd line support Microsoft Office support Understanding of Microsoft Exchange/Server 1st and 2nd line application support for all installed applications Microsoft Outlook configuration, troubleshooting, housekeeping and administration Network troubleshooting, IP, DHCP, DNS 1st and 2nd line Cabling and patching Android, iPhone user support Printer troubleshooting and management Projector and audio visual maintenance and support Communication/Soft skills: Team player Excellent communication skills, written and oral Ability to deal professionally with users, customers and suppliers Ability to communicate technical information to none technical users Report writing Documentation writing Self-motivate, committed and enthusiastic IT professional, must be able to work on own initiative and without constant supervision. Proven experience of working in a high pressured corporate environment Understanding of ITIL Working conditions Overtime will be required when requested by clients or senior staff or when daily duties have not been completed Travel will be required to clients sites/suppliers Physical requirements Dependable and well maintained motor vehicle Valid drivers license Direct reports Onsite Engineer Team Leader R22K
